Hi i have not been updating much as i didnt have any inspiration currently.
I believe writing comes naturally.
However i do keep myself involve in writing events. I have been really busy with the Singapore writers festival and singapore writer's association.
In a month's time, my writings would be published on the E-newsletter of singapore writers association.
Well its a step closer to my dream. I have always seen myself being inspired by other writers.
I hope to see myself as a writer/author probably in 10 years time hopefully.
Well publishing a book is not as easy as you think it is. You need to have sponsors to help you out and sufficient money to provide you in publishing a book.
Anyway ,i attended a writing workshop today by the singapore writers association.
It amazes me everytime i see another writer as it gives me inspiration and hope to keep on writing.
In singapore writing is NOT well known therefore it is vital to have a writer's support group to keep you going. I am really thankful i met amazing writers and learnt about their writing experiences.
Anyone can be a writer but at the end of the day it all depends on yourself and your passion.
To be a writer you do NOT need to be perfect. Everyone learns from their mistakes, you need to understand that you have to keep on writing your draft if your not happy about it.
Today there was an exercise given to us and we had to rewrite from a nursery rhyme book through picture.
Since i didnt have the picture i will describe it through visualisation. The picture consists of a dog, a cat and a pig in a barnyard. We had to come out with a story through any genre and i came out with this :
In a far far away land, there was a farm that no one knew about.
Never did one expect that animas in the farm were more independent than other animals.
However in this farm there were only three animals such as the dog, the pig and the cat.
They were a family that grew up together, smell each other and fight with each other.
Oh no one to control their life,
they play all day and night.
and watch the stars go by.
With the famous Nicole Seah at Singapore Writers Festival.
Enjoy reading, sorry for the long post peeps.
